0.2 Crop Pilot course structure overview

Here is the Crop Pilot School structure overview.

Spraying drone industry is developing very fast and constantly needs the supply of young professionals. Our school offers a variety of courses to support industry newcomers and guide them through the spraying drone operations start-up process.

In Crop Pilot school we keep things simple and guide students all the way from basic to the advanced levels. To become a professional and certified crop pilot you will have to pass over 100 practical and theoretical exercises and successfully pass overall assessment.

The practical training will mostly take place in Spain, Barcelona, at the well-established BCN drone center where the weather conditions are favourable for training 364 days per year. This gives an opportunity to the farmers from all over the Europe to come for training during the winter months.

Some training activities will be offered at our training center in Latvia, Eastern Europe, but only during the summer time.

The CAA pilot training covers all obligatory spraying drone pilot competencies.

We will provide both STS and PDRA theory and practical pilot training with additional add-on modules such as night operations or bv los flights.

Main target is to train a professional pilot who can safely operate a 100 kilo drone and manage his crew in efficient manner.

The regulatory part aims at assisting operators to apply for CAA operational authorization, which is also known as flight permit. Even though you as a pilot have a licence to fly, your company as a drone operator must get a flight permit. Drone operator is responsible for presenting his risk assessment for planned operations and this risk assessment is a basis for issuing a CAA flight permit. If you can't prove you are able to perform spraying operations safely without endangering manned aviation, or uninvolved persons, you will not be granted such permit.

If you have any questions you will be able to get the consultancy support to guide you in the right direction.

The business part comes in a shape of an online business course, which will bring more knowledge and awareness to all industry newcomers and investors planning their start-ups in agricultural sector. Feel free to apply for consultancy service, if after the course you are still not able to put all puzzle pieces together.

In the extra courses part you will find mapping course, basic agronomy course and precise agriculture course. Why do we need such courses? Well, mapping course will give you a chance to take the spraying operations to the next level - field mapping is essential for differential spraying and spot spraying, which will save money for you or your clients. Basic agronomy course aims at giving all essential knowledge to industry newcomers. Again, we don't expect spraying drone operators or pilots to have vast agricultural experience and the course will assist them to get up-to-speed in a short period of time.

Precise agriculture course is another online course which explains the use of drones as the precise agriculture tools.

Individual training, tailor made for groups or organizations is also available on request.

Now let's take a look at Crop Pilot's school present and future fleet of drones.

We aim at offering training only with latest drone models. At this moment we can offer training with a DJI T30 model and we are excited to add T50 model. T50 is expected to be released to European market in the middle of 2024.

Also, we expect the release of DJI Flycart 30, and we will offer training for this innovative delivery drone as well. Flycart and T50 have almost identical design and Flycart will open a whole new industry of affordable last mile delivery by drones. Certainly, that is an opportunity for all drone pilots to put another license in their pockets.

We are happy to offer practical training with XAG P100 model, which is very similar to the P100 pro model due to be released at some point in 2024. Generally both drone manufacturers are well established and reliable, which is the reason why they were chosen by our school for practical training. All our training course programmes are up-to-date with the latest regulations and industry standards, which will be supplemented by online courses where possible.
